2018: Beauty and Skincare  Favourites

2018 has been a long year, and now that it has come to an end, I thought it would be great to jot down all my favourite things and share them with you all.
As, I’ve mentioned on my blog previously, Beauty and Skincare is a journey, and with time you start to become comfortable with certain products, through trial and error. In certain areas, I still haven’t found the product which is ‘perfect’ for me, however, as I try out and test skincare and beauty items, it has been a great few months sharing my thoughts with you all in my little corner.

1. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

My favourite moisturiser for this year has definitely been the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturiser.

I didn’t buy the big tub straight away, as I needed to try the moisturiser for a month or two to see whether it was suitable for my sensitive and dry skin, so I bought the small 50ml tub. I instantly started to see how my skin felt so moisturised without a thick layer overshadowing my skin, which was definitely a plus for me. You definitely don’t want a thick cream for your day to day moisturiser, specially those who have oily or combination skin. Using a super thick cream if you have oily skin, will clog up your pores, which can lead to further irritations on the skin causing breakouts. Therefore, a light moisturiser is essential.
It has been almost a year since I have been using the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturiser ( I bought the huge tub, after the little one finished) , and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new cream for the new year.
New year, New skin 🙂
2. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation.

Now this foundation, is one of the only products that has never changed in my makeup collection ever. It’s an all time must have for me, if it runs out, I get the same one again, because my skin is comfortable in it, and it gives the perfect dewy coverage for my skin type ( Dry and Sensitive). However, if any of you have combination or oily skin, Nars released one of their new foundations which is for all types of skin , ( Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation), which received many positive reviews in its press release from other beauty bloggers such as Desi Perkins, So its definitely worth a shot ! ( Have you seen Desi’s Skin, its beautiful) I actually brought the Nars Sheer Glow, because one of my favourite Youtuber’s, Tanya Burr would always use it, and she recommends it on her channel all the time, so I knew it was a must have.

3. Diorshow Pump’N’Volume Mascara Ft Bella Hadid.

I actually brought this mascara on a whim, I was with my sister in Selfridges, and fell into temptation of buying stuff, when I said I wouldn’t. However, there is a justification, that I love the Dior Mascara, it gives the false lash look, making your eyelashes look so natural, yet voluminised. Its by far, one of my best non-planned purchases of the year.

Also, the tube is soft, rather than made of plastic, which allows you to fully use the mascara, rather than any of it going to waste.
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette.

Well, if you look at the Palette, you can tell it has definitely been a favourite this year. It’s all battered, because me and my sister have used this palette so much, and it’s travelled with us wherever we went, hence why it looks the way it does😄 . It just has the most versatile shades for a natural look to even a party look. Plus, the shades are SUPER pigmented and blend so easily. I also love how I don’t need to use another palette to find a different shade, because this Palette has it all.

5.Clinique : Take the day off cleansing balm

This is also one of those products that I saw many bloggers rave about, so after months of seeing whether it was worth it, I got this on my Birthday from my friends, and it slowly has become an absolute fave. It’s super easy to use, you just rub this over your makeup and wash it off and your skin is left squeaky clean.

6.Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop x Jaclyn Hill

This is my Ride or Die highlighter (I’m pretty sure you can tell by the look of the highlighter 😀). Every time I use another highlighter, after a while, I always come back to use Champagne Pop. It’s perfect for my tan skin colour, as well as every person I’ve tried it on, they all look amazing in this highlighter. I would definitely recommend this highlighter to everyone, it’s a little pricey, but it would definitely last you for ages.
I left a little swatch of the highlighter to show how beautiful the shade actually is.

7. It Cosmetics : Universal Brow Pencil

When I do my makeup, I prefer to do a natural brow look, rather than a super defined eyebrow shape. That’s just the way I prefer my eyebrows to look. So, I had been looking for a good product that wouldn’t look too intense on my eyebrows. After looking for a while, I heard IT Cosmetics had finally launched in Selfridges, which I had to visit after finally waiting for its arrival in the UK. To my surprise, the Universal Brow pencil was the most ideal shade that I had been looking for in my brows, and of course it is now apart of my small collection of cult products.

8. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

The Nars Concealer is a classic beauty product that is loved by so many makeup artists, Pro artists and even general users of makeup like me , due its creamy yet full coverage look. It gives the under eye radiance to brighten it up, while covering any blemishes elsewhere on the face. I sometimes like to highlight my brow bone, and around my eyebrows, to give a clean and fresh appearance to the eye area.

I hope you all enjoyed reading about my favourites.
